EU VOD MARKET HUB
BACKGROUND
EUROPEAN VOD MARKET HUB is a flagship, structuring and supporting venture for the audiovisual market and professionals, centered on the European VoD industry - a young, dynamic and fast-growing industry, with a diversity of actors, business models, languages and catalogues.
Built on a global framework, the project includes key catalysers that will develop and promote talents,
foster the competitiveness and scalability of the sector, ignite relevant collaborative and cross-fertilisation avenues for the VoD stakeholders, the tech industries and the chain of rights, and boost innovation and sustainability of the sector through tech, green and inclusive uptakes.
Powered by the EUROVOD, the project is the evolution of evidence-based successful past experimentations which proved their efficiency in assisting the European audiovisual industry, and particular the VoD sector, in their digital and ecological twin transition and in the challenge of responding to new trends on audience engagement
and development.

Enhancing the dialogue and the cooperation among the European VoD platforms and other professionals working in content digital distribution
Collecting, analyzing and sharing data and statistics on the European VoD platforms and on the sector, providing market studies and reports.

Created in 2010, EuroVoD is a network of independent European Video on Demand platforms specialising in art-house films and independent cinema. Started as a rights holders' initiative, this European network adopted a collaborative management model, where small and medium enterprises pool resources and exchange know-how to increase the transnational circulation of European films. EuroVoD also strives to defend cultural diversity, develop Video on Demand as a new, legal channel for the distribution of audiovisual content and provides a new financial resource for the production of European films.
