The European Audiovisual Observatory published their report on the new trends in the audiovisual sector, which pans television, cinema, physical video and of course, VoD. At this time, it is also important to note that the data was collated before the COVID-19 crisis.

The share of SVOD in the audiovisual market growth corresponds to 85% in 2018
PayTV is not losing subscribers to SVoD across Europe, apart from a few specific national European markets
The share of EU28 high-end series on SVOD outside Europe is 24%, mainly represented by UK series.
80 different titles are promoted each month by a TVOD service, focusing on a limited number of titles.
