Deadline 15th December to register to the next 4-day residential workshop, co-financed by the Creative Europe MEDIA programme and organized in partnership with the 23rd Sofia Film Festival and the 17th edition of the Sofia Meetings! The international training course is open to 40 professionals of the Video on Demand sector, especially with a marketing, tech and management profile, as well as other AV professionals working in/with online distribution. RECENT ACTIVITIES
Nextv Series From the 19th to the 21st November DATAXIS organized the Nextv Series in Berlin, an event gathering top notch executives from the TV, Telecom and OTT industry. EUROVOD is a proud media partner of this amazing professional meeting, and in this occasion Andreas Wildfang, Executive Director of EYZ Media and EuroVoD Board Member, sat on the panel about 'Digital Video in Europe: What's the next strategies?' on the 21st November. Here the presentation and the agenda of the 3-days event.
GIFF In occasion of the Geneva International Film Festival, Andreas Wildfang presented an introductory key note at the panel 'Cinema & TV Reload: What's Ready and What's Cooking in VoD', with an emphasis on the Swiss & German VoD market and its specificities.
IDFA Co-organised with Moving Docs and Docs Barcelona, on November 25th Eurovod presented at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam the Industry Session 'Europe's VOD platforms strike back'. After an introduction from Silvia Cibien about EUROVOD network and the Pay TV and OTT market trends in Europe, the speakers Jaume Ripoll (Filmin), Kiril Gjozev (Cinesquare) and William Page (FilmDoo) presented their case studies and perspectives. The session, featuring exclusively EUROVOD members, was moderated by Ove Rishøj Jensenpeakers (Auto Images).

Just in time for the festive season, EUROVOD is thrilled to welcome 3 new members in its network! A warm welcome on board to VoD Factory (FR) managing Queerscreen; to Bitmax (UK) a leading service provider, and to the SVOD platform Pickbox NOW (HR), available in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Reports from the European Audiovisual Observatory
The 'Film and TV content in VOD catalogues' report that you can download from the European Audiovisual Observatory provide the first global insight into the composition of VOD catalogues in Europe, looking at both film and TV content. The reports also finds that European content represents 30% of all content found on TVOD and 26% of SVOD in the EU if we consider film and series titles and/or seasons (as opposed to individual episodes).
Open Call from Blockpool
Blockpool is looking for 25 SMEs willing to test, adopt and deploy Blockchain and other DLT-based solutions. The Application phase for the OPEN CALL closes on 26 of February! These SMEs receive up to 30.000 EUR funding, provided as voucher in a lump sum way. The funding is related to the achievement of relevant milestones and administrative justifications will be reduced to a minimum. After the selection, the SMEs will be provided with dedicated pan-European coaching, Massive Open Online Courses, created by the best in the blockchain field, and many training programmes all over Europe.
